My Dad Beat Cancer. The Grounding Sheet Isn't Why. But Here's What He Told Me.

My father turned 76 the spring he was diagnosed.

Stage 3. The kind that makes doctors speak slowly and carefully, choosing their words. He was fit for his age — still going on morning walks, still cooking, still sharp. The diagnosis came out of nowhere and it felt like the floor dropped out from under our family.

He tried two rounds of chemotherapy. The side effects were brutal. He lost weight he didn't have. He lost energy he needed. He sat me down and said something I will never forget: "Emma, I want to try something different. I think this treatment is killing me faster than the cancer is."
